IT - Italian Trattoria Nancy

On Saturday late afternoon, I bought two ice creams for my grandchildren. The waitress behind the bar was unpleasant. It was clear I was bothering her by buying the two ice creams. Furthermore, the two ice creams were not what I ordered. It is unacceptable to behave this way in a business.

Food is really nice and very well priced! The food came really quickly, but still felt really fresh and was great quality. Staff were very helpful, especially me not being a native French speaker. Fantastic range of desserts. Honestly, couldn’t recommend this place enough

The welcome was fantastic, with friendly and welcoming staff. The burrata was excellent, as were the pasta dishes (carbonara and basil). Just a slight disappointment with the caramel tiramisu. But we'll gladly return!

The pizzas are so slippery you have to do everything yourself, serve yourself the food, drinks, clear the table, etc.

The welcome was warm at first. Then we sat down on the terrace. After 30-40 minutes, still no food. I went to ask how long it would take. What a mistake… the cook spoke to me extremely rudely: “She thinks that standing in front of me will speed things up, she should just leave,” “If you don’t tell me what’s in your order, do you think I’m going to guess?” It was shameful. I asked for a refund, which was thankfully accepted by the manager.

Absolute disappointment. Except for the warm and friendly welcome (5/5 for the young man at the entrance), and 3/5 because you have to stand up like at McDonald's, even though McDonald's serves you at the table… We thought we were coming to eat in a restaurant… and ended up discovering a self-service place… like a McDonald's kebab shop. In the end, we thought, okay, we'll stay and see. The pizzas were good, but the salads were a disaster. The quinoa and tomatoes were frozen… I went down to report the problem. No offer to replace the plate… The products were indeed at 4°C in the fridge after checking, but that's enough to have limited frozen items: Not very pleasant to eat. A gesture of goodwill would have been appreciated. The bread served with the salads was very hard, as if baked that morning. It's a shame that for this type of place, the bread isn't slightly warm (what a shame). From the moment we entered, we were promised fresh and traditional Italian cuisine, and having just returned from Italy, I find that the customer promise is quite far removed from what they actually want to offer. The taste experience is mediocre. This is the second time this year I've come to try ice cream, and once again, no ice cream... A victim of its own success. Wake up! It's a heatwave; you need to make the necessary effort to offer the products on the menu. Especially since the ice creams are just mixes thrown into the Italian-style machine. So, once again, a disappointment. In conclusion, keep walking; you'll probably find better elsewhere.

I enjoyed my meal; the pizzas were good. However, I was disappointed by the service at the end. I asked for a container to take away the rest of my pizza, but I was told I had to wait for the kitchen staff, who were on break. I waited several minutes even though the restaurant was empty. It's a shame such a simple request couldn't be handled more quickly. A little more flexibility would have been appreciated.

A very, very, very unpleasant experience. Let me explain: we were having drinks, and we hadn't finished our aperitif, neither our drinks nor our appetizers. We left for five minutes to smoke, and upon our return, surprise! Our table had been completely cleared, along with our personal belongings. And to top it all off, there was no apology, and the head waitress had the nerve to say, looking us straight in the eye, "It's your fault; you shouldn't have left your table."

I ordered a Tropea pizza and a tiramisu from IT - Italien Trattoria in Nancy via Deliveroo. A very pleasant surprise: the pizza was delicious, generously topped, and made with quality ingredients. The tiramisu was also excellent, with a lovely texture and a well-balanced flavor profile. A great find, I would happily recommend it!

A lot of vegan and veggie options. Great food and very friendly service in a great setting.
